On Saturday, September 20th, the village of Syðrugøta on the Faroe Islands will once again open its doors for HOYMA – one of the most intimate and unique music experiences in the world.

HOYMA is a “home concert festival” where 10 different family homes in the neighborhood Í Tungu turn their living rooms into concert venues for one special night. In total, 20 concerts take place – two in each home – with Faroese artists performing mostly unplugged, without sound or lighting systems. The result is a rare closeness between artist and audience that recalls the centuries-old Faroese tradition of gathering in living rooms to share stories and songs.

The program with performing artists and concert times will be announced soon, but as always, expect warmth, hospitality and powerful performances in a truly homely setting. Concerts run from around 6–7 PM until midnight, followed by an afterparty at the local venue Tøting.
